In relation to this work, the space forms a centre stage on which figures, and other imagery seem to trespass momentarily. Eclectic visual ecstasies which emerge and evolve from the very indigenous heritage of Indian miniature paintings become an innate part of my diction. This painting includes dark sky typically depicting a night sky filled with stars, the moon and other celestial bodies. The aim is to bring out a sense of mystery and wonder, as they capture the beauty and vastness of the universe.

The work – ‘The Plots Underneath’, brings the characters from the mythology and the folk stories that parallely work for a larger perspective in respect to flora, fauna and the mixture of characters that bring all of these embodies together as a universe. As the Indian mythology has a great content to offer, this work interprets where and how the mother nature was placed in respect to the mythological stories, characters and episodes.
